Wall of Eyes

Is a modular floor installation consisting of four square mirrored panels adaptably arranged on site.

Each panel is populated with white, organic plaster pieces that appear to float on the reflective surface. The pieces vary in form—some are circular, others more irregular and amoebic— feature printed impressions that resemble eyes or facial features. The white pieces appear doubled through their reflections, giving the illusion of depth, as if they're suspended in or floating upon a pool of water/sky.

Wall of Eyes creates an intriguing tension with the work's horizontal, ground-based presentation. While the installation physically lies flat on the ground, the mirrored surface performs a kind of architectural flip—reflecting the vertical space above it, including the white wall, the window or the open sky.

The eyes in this installation read as watchful, observant presences. Scattered across the four panels, there is a sense of multiple gazes—a crowd of witnesses. The multiplication effect of the mirror doubles this watching presence, intensifying the feeling of being observed or of observing oneself.

The title thus evokes both the physical (the reflected wall / space around) and the psychological (the multiplied gaze), transforming a floor piece into a meditation on seeing versus being seen.
