These twenty faces emerged rapidly, intuitively—drawn with an urgency that offered a lifeline when reality itself felt unmoored. In moments when everything seemed constructed, mediated, denied, the act of drawing became an anchor: proof of presence, proof of witness. Each face materialized quickly, almost involuntarily, as if the hand knew what the mind could not yet articulate. They are not portraits of specific individuals but rather impressions of humanity caught in extremity—expressions of shock, dissolution, endurance. Made in swift, instinctive gestures, these drawings resist the polished distance of deliberation. They insist on immediacy, on the rawness of encounter. When language fails and truth is contested, the face—rendered in real time, with trembling certainty—becomes evidence. These drawings are testament to what was seen, what was felt, what cannot be explained away as exaggeration or invention. They are urgent marks against erasure, claiming: this happened, I am here, this is real.
