Calculus
derives from the Latin for "small stone" or "pebble," which were historically used for counting and calculation (hence our modern mathematical term). The print and drawing work in Calculus explore the stone as an object with multiple, sometimes contradictory purposes: a tool for mathematics and civilization-building, materials for construction, and also projectiles — weapons.
