Open Workshop - Etching/Intaglio
Every Wednesday (and select Saturdays), the studio doors open for printmakers to come in, work at the press, and bring their projects to life. Whether you're experienced or returning to printmaking after a break, this is your space to create.
Hours Wednesdays: 4:30 PM – 9:00 PM Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Who is it? For Printmakers with a working knowledge of etching (line and aquatint) and basic drawing skills.
New to etching? You can start with a dry-point engraving try-out — a hands-on introduction to printmaking that requires no prior experience. Just curiosity and a willingness to get a little inky.
What to Bring? Your drawing tools, sketches, works-in-progress, and copper or zinc plates.
Pricing
Single session (studio + basic materials) - €55
3-session card — more studio time at a better rate - €135
Accompanied Work with the instructor (per hour) - €50
If you'd like extra guidance along the way, Accompanied Work sessions offer dedicated one-on-one support with the instructor.
Payment PayPal here or Bank transfer — simply get in touch by email at hadass.gilboa@gmail.com.
Booking Once payment is confirmed, we'll schedule dates that suit your project — every quarter I will send the next OW dates via email or on pour social group
⚠️ Please Note
Etching involves a press, mordants, acids, solvents, and other chemicals — materials that require care and respect.
If, after your first session, it becomes clear that more foundational training is needed, the instructor may ask you to complete a formal course before returning to the Open Workshop. This is about keeping you, the studio, and everyone working alongside you safe.
