This April during the Easter Holidays, I am offering a 2 day printmaking exploration from the depth of the sea to the top of the mountain. We will explore our environment and create meaningful prints with an awareness to our Planet and how we can protect our environment and help it thrive.
DAY ONE
The first day will start with talking a bit about printmaking and what it is. We will then get to work on our first set of prints with a technique called Dry-Point on found objects and recycled plastic.
We will then print them out in various colours (and/or black)
If we have a bit of time left, we might add a little watercolour paint to produce lovely hand-painted print artworks just like in the 17th century.
DAY TWO
On our second day we will go outside and collect leaves and small twigs to create embossed relief print. We will be combining those with linoleum cutting.
And the cherry on top, on the second day, the kids are welcome to bring a white t-shirt. After printing on paper, we will print out our lino creations on Tees to make their own Artwear print.
We are starting at 10:00, around 12:00 we will have a little lunch break and pick up is at 14:30
The Workshop is surrounded by a large and lovely fenced garden where the kids can run free and enjoy their lunch break.

Hello Parents! What you need to know:
All materials will be provided by the Workshop - including tools, inks, paper etc. except the white t-shirt - Please bring one with you:-)
We will be using our big and cool printing press as well and other pointy needle tools. On our first meeting, I will explain the rules of the studio and the no-nos for the group. Prepare your kiddos and explain to them that there are safety rules in the workshop (just like in school).
We are using only safe and non-toxic materials (no turpentine and other solvents). The inks will be oil based inks so I would advise wearing clothes that can get dirty and/or bring an apron.
Please feel free to contact me with any question regarding the tools or materials we will use. If any sensitivity or allergy is known to you, please contact me and we can discuss possible options.
