Vernissage of our Spring show at the Künsterische Lithographie Werkstatt Berlin (LW)

Druckfrish has become a tradition in our Werkstatt. It is a yearly celebration of Printmaking in collaboration with the annual Tag der Druckkunst.

Although each of us at the LW has a different approach to Printmaking, we all share a passion and a respect for this long standing graphic art tradition. Our Spring show is exhibit a selection of works that put an emphasis the endless ramifications Printmaking has to offer in relation with the idea behind Tag der Druckkunst

On March 15, 2018, the traditional printing techniques were included in the nationwide register of intangible cultural heritage of the German Commission for UNESCO. A day to celebrate, we think!

That is why Tag der Druckkunst always takes place on March 15th .

Large number of events, nationwide and in neighbouring European countries, will take place on the 15th of March, demonstrating how lively this cultural heritage still is!

It’s also an excellent opportunity to meet us, printmakers of the LW, talk about printmaking, get inspired, discuss collaboration and have a drink!
