Cyclops

The Cyclops brooch collection was created as an Artwear piece, an authentic visual art piece worn as a unique handmade clothing or jewellery item.

Hadass Gilboa developed this series with a desire to reach out from her paper works and make her art prints accessible outside of the gallery’s walls.

Each brooch is a small and unique original print creation, made of polymer clay. The imagery on the brooch is manually printed and borrowed from the artist's print repertoire.

The brooch can be worn as a traditional accessory on a jacket, shirt or hat but can also function as a necktie tack or adorn shoes.

Hadass Gilboa is a print and video artist, based in Tel Aviv and Berlin. She was introduced into the world of printmaking while studying film and animation at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem. In both her videos and her fine art prints, Hadass uses visual narratives borrowed from myths and folk tales while translating them into an intuitive and surreal experience.

The brooches are on display at the Eretz Israel Museum art shop, Tel Aviv
